Today was volume twenty-three of Hana Kimi. The last volume! A reminder of what the fluff manga criteria are: Do I enjoy the art? Does the plot line have sufficient action to keep me interested? Is there a sufficiently squeal-worthy love story? General silliness and frivolity?
Did I enjoy the art?
Of course! Always.
Does the plot line have sufficient action to keep me interested?
YES. Rumors get leaked that there is a girl in school, and everyone finds out that it is Mizuki. She is forced to leave, but Sano promises to meet her in a year.
Is there a sufficiently squeal-worthy love story?
YES. Sano comes to America after a year and he goes to UC Berkeley. And the ending… So much cute! They go to a wedding together, and he tells her she is cute in her dress. They are so tender and wonderful together! It was adorable.
General silliness and frivolity?
Not much, but I didn’t expect there to be too much since the series was wrapping up.
This manga scored 3.5/4. A wonderful ending to a cute manga!
